From The Outback To India
A creative voyage shaped by passion, place and tradition

Sophie Tatlow
Sophie Tatlow brings a refined editorial eye and an innate sense of design direction to every project. With a background in copywriting, design, branding, and cultural strategy, she has led creative teams across the fields of publishing, public art, interiors, and textiles. Sophie’s ability to seamlessly bridge conceptual vision with the physical world has defined her as an exceptional creative director and collaborator.
At Utopia Goods, she oversees the narrative and curatorial heart of the brand, bringing clarity and elegance to every fabric collection, campaign, and interior scheme. She has a deep knowledge of history, colour, and pattern and her gift lies in distilling ideas into design objects that feel both timeless and entirely new.

Bruce Slorach
Bruce Slorach is the artistic force behind Utopia Goods’ distinctive hand-painted textiles. A celebrated artist and illustrator, his intricate compositions draw on native Australian flora, mythology, and the traditions of decorative arts to create a vivid and often fantastical visual universe. With a background in fashion, art direction, and large-scale public commissions, Bruce has long explored the intersection of fine art and applied design.
His work has been exhibited in major galleries, and his unique sensibility, equal parts romantic and rigorous, underpins every Utopia Goods prints. Together, Bruce and Sophie are not only building a business, but creating a lasting legacy in Australian design, where art and interiors meet in bold and beautiful harmony.
